Yoga Nidra is a yogic mindfulness practice that facilitates profound physical, mental, and emotional relaxation, leading to deep meditative brain states. 

Lying in relaxation pose (savasana) and led by the facilitator's voice,  the focus of your mind moves according to the cues being offered. This rotation of conscious awareness proceeds in a sequence beginning with a detailed full body scan, then through any of a wide variety of visualizations.  Although Yoga Nidra is often referred to as "yogic sleep", you will practice softening into stillness while remaining aware of the world around you, allowing for the release of muscular and mental tension. 

We will begin with a few minutes of gentle stretching before we settle into this powerfully peaceful practice. Please dress comfortably, in light, loose-fitting clothing. We have communal props available for your use in the studio however you are encouraged to bring a comfortable blanket, pillow, neck support, socks and anything else to pad your nest and encourage the most comfortable and tranquil experience possible.
